New York-based, German-born Andrea Schnabl was educated as a ceramicist. Arriving in New York in the early 90s she continued her training in monumental sculpture before launching her collections of jewelry and one-of-a-kind vessels in cork. As a gallerist of many years, she developed a deep understanding of contemporary art becoming increasingly interested in the intellectual and physical process of creating. Considering herself an artesian with her own acquired set of skills, Andrea stays true to her craft, her interests in form, volume, and motion.
